This directory contains the last version of Cadsoft EAGLE before it was purchased by Autodesk.

This is placed here for historical purposes and because it is useful.

The limitations of the free version are:

* Usable board size is 100x80mm
* Two shcematic sheets
* Two layers on PCB

The free version can read (but not edit) files which exceed these limitations.

Cadsoft was purchased by Autodesk, and consequently their model changed from a one-time purchase to
an online subscription model. This was not well regarded within the hobbyist market as the free version
from Autodesk was not only limited but was not available for non-64 bit processors.

A standard license of Autodesk's EAGLE is $15/mo or $100/yr. Cadsoft sold their standard license for
62 EUR or US$70. This license lasted forever, but had all the same limitations as the free version,
with the stipulation that it was for commericla purposes.
